Power Supply Lead Engineer

About the role

Alstom Grid is seeking a full‑time Power Supply Lead Engineer to join its transportation projects in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. You will lead MV/LV traction engineering, coordinate power‑supply interfaces with local utilities, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality electrical solutions for metro, tramway or mainline projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MV/LV traction engineering and guarantee compliance with Design for Quality standards.
• Perform basic and detailed engineering for HV, MV, LV power supply and DC traction systems.
• Develop technical documentation, including electrical architectures, functional specifications and interface reviews.
• Prepare calculation notes such as short‑circuit analysis, cable sizing, power balance, UPS and battery sizing, earthing and protection coordination.
• Identify and manage interfaces between power‑supply subsystems and other project disciplines.
• Allocate transverse requirements in collaboration with specialists, deriving them from standards, certifications and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with suppliers and ensure seamless integration of purchased equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in power‑supply engineering for rail or transportation projects.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex interfaces.
• Strong understanding of HV/MV/LV systems, DC traction, and utility coordination.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on reliability and performance.
