Procurement Engineer (Civil Engineering)

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Engineer with a civil engineering background to lead the acquisition of construction materials, equipment, and services. The role ensures compliance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards while supporting project timelines and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the tendering process, preparing RFQs, RFPs, and bid documents for civil engineering projects.
• Perform quantity take‑off from project drawings and analyze bids.
• Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure cost‑effective, high‑quality supplies.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Maintain supplier pre‑qualification, monitor performance, and ensure timely deliveries.
• Prepare procurement reports and cost analyses for management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of procurement, tendering, and contract management experience in construction.
• Certification in Procurement & Supply Chain Management (e.g., CIPS, PMP) is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of tendering procedures, contract negotiation, and supplier management for civil works materials.
• Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations.
