Procurement Manager

About the role

Business Umbrella is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and purchasing for a leading education group across its campuses in Saudi Arabia. Based in Jeddah, the role reports to the Supply Chain Director and ensures cost‑effective, compliant procurement that supports uninterrupted teaching and campus operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic sourcing for academic supplies, IT/lab equipment, furniture, catering and facilities services.
• Manage tender processes, prepare RFP/RFQ documentation and oversee supplier selection across campuses.
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms with local and international vendors.
• Maintain an approved vendor list and conduct supplier performance evaluations.
• Handle procurement data in ERP systems (SAP MM / Oracle Procurement) and process purchase orders.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and contribute to annual procurement budget planning.
• Monitor supplier risk, including financial health, single‑source exposure and compliance.
• Report monthly spend analysis, savings and supplier KPIs to the Supply Chain Director.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.
• 5–10 years of procurement experience, with 2–3 years in a managerial role.
• Preferred CIPS or CPSM certification.
• Strong experience in the education sector is highly preferred.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Saudi national (mandatory).

Required skills

• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP MM or Oracle Procurement.
• Experience in tender management, RFP/RFQ preparation and supplier negotiation.
• Ability to conduct spend analysis and report on savings and KPIs.
