Procurement Officer – Construction & Fit‑Out Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Officer to join our construction services team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on sourcing, evaluating, and managing suppliers for architectural, fit‑out, and MEP projects, ensuring materials meet design intent while staying within budget and schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and interior drawings/BOQs to determine accurate material and quantity requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for finishes, joinery, and fit‑out materials.
• Prepare and issue RFQs, compare technical and commercial offers, and recommend vendors.
• Verify that quoted materials match design intent, finishes schedules, and approved samples or mock‑ups.
• Coordinate with design and site teams to resolve specification conflicts, substitutions, and value‑engineering options.
• Track lead times, delivery schedules, and material submittals against the project program.
• Maintain vendor databases, pricing records, and approved material/supplier lists.
• Prepare purchase orders, monitor budget versus actual costs, and support cost reporting.
• Provide technical clarifications to suppliers on behalf of the design/engineering team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture (required).
• 3–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in construction or fit‑out projects.
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and interior drawings.
• Working knowledge of fit‑out materials, finishes, and joinery specifications.
• Familiarity with the Saudi/GCC supplier market and local building/procurement regulations is an advantage.
• Fluent in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in Revit.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or procurement software (preferred).
