Procurement & Supply Chain Officer – FMCG

About the role

The Procurement, Contract Management & Supply Chain Officer will lead the end‑to‑end procurement and logistics processes for fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) in the food and beverage sector. The role ensures product availability, optimises inventory, and secures competitive terms with both local and international suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing and replenishment plans aligned with sales forecasts, seasonal peaks and promotional campaigns.
• Negotiate volume discounts, payment terms and annual trade agreements with manufacturers, global brands and local distributors.
• Monitor inventory health, enforce FIFO/FEFO policies and coordinate with sales to clear near‑expiry items.
• Oversee logistics and cold‑chain operations to guarantee product quality during transit to distribution centres.
• Analyse landed costs, market price trends and provide data‑driven recommendations to optimise margins.
• Ensure all procurement, logistics and warehousing activities comply with national food‑safety regulations (e.g., SFDA).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of progressive experience exclusively in FMCG and food‑beverage procurement and supply chain.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Power BI for reporting and analysis.
