Production Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team. You will plan, run and improve daily production operations to meet targets for output, quality, cost and safety. Hands‑on experience in a plastic, metal can‑making or paper product factory is required.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities to meet output and delivery targets.
• Monitor production lines and machine performance, resolving technical and process issues quickly.
• Improve processes to raise efficiency, reduce waste and scrap, and lower production costs.
• Track and report KPIs such as OEE, downtime, yield, scrap rate and productivity.
• Work with Maintenance on preventive maintenance and fast breakdown recovery.
• Collaborate with Quality to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective‑preventive actions for production problems.
• Support new product trials, line setups, changeovers and machine commissioning.
• Train and guide operators and technicians on standard operating procedures.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental standards on the shop floor.
• Prepare shift reports, production records and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, Chemical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 1–7 years of production experience in a plastic, metal‑can or paper product factory.
• Strong knowledge of relevant processes (injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, thermoforming, metal forming, stamping, coating, printing, seaming, converting, corrugation, die‑cutting, laminating).
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 or similar quality systems (preferred).
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle (preferred).
• Willingness to work in shifts when needed.

Required skills

• Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen and Six Sigma tools.
• ERP systems – SAP, Oracle.
