Production Operations Manager

About the role

The Production Operations Manager leads the end‑to‑end manufacturing of custom and standard sheet‑metal enclosures, ensuring high quality, on‑time delivery, and efficient use of equipment. This hands‑on leader coordinates multi‑stage production lines, maintains strict quality standards, and drives continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily and weekly schedules for CNC laser/punching, press brake bending, powder coating, and hardware assembly cells.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks to reduce lead times and meet tight delivery deadlines.
• Enforce dimensional tolerances, powder‑coat thickness, adhesion, and cosmetic finish standards.
• Design and manage the final assembly line for hardware insertion and component integration.
• Supervise, cross‑train, and develop a diverse team of CNC operators, laser technicians, brake press setup staff, painters, and assemblers.
• Oversee preventive maintenance of high‑value assets such as laser cutters, multi‑axis press brakes, and paint booths.
• Monitor sheet‑metal nesting efficiency to minimize scrap and control paint‑line consumables.
• Approve the final bill of material after design, engineering, and ERP validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent technical diploma.
• Minimum 7 years of operational management experience in precision sheet‑metal fabrication for enclosures or cabinets.
• Proven ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints and manage ERP/MES job tracking.
• Strong command of English (or Arabic) for communication and documentation.

• Advanced CNC laser nesting optimization and sheet‑metal bend deduction techniques.
• Robotic welding arc trajectory knowledge.
• Lean manufacturing principles applied to cell layout and workflow.

• BOM management, quality control, and preventive maintenance practices.
