Production Shift Manager, General Assembly

About the role

The General Assembly Production Shift Manager leads shift‑based operations in Lucid’s GA shop, ensuring daily delivery of volume, safety, quality and cost targets. This role provides direct leadership to production supervisors and shop‑floor teams, driving execution discipline and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet planned volume and SQCD objectives.
• Monitor shift performance, identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage all Production Supervisors and shop‑floor personnel, ensuring proper staffing and skill coverage.
• Promote a strong safety culture, enforce safety standards, lead incident investigations and apply corrective measures.
• Ensure product quality meets defined standards, collaborate with Quality teams to resolve issues, and enforce standardized work.
• Respond immediately to production problems, including line stoppages, to minimize impact.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and manage production supervisors and operators.
• Strong accountability for performance, discipline and adherence to operational standards.
• Experience in staffing, resource allocation and workforce development.
• Commitment to safety, with experience conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Capability to drive quality assurance and resolve production‑related quality issues.
