H-60 Helicopter Engine Drivetrain Mechanic / Aviation Machinist Mate-1

About the role

This position provides field and sustainment-level maintenance support and augmentation for the MH-60R helicopter, including production control, quality control, supply management, maintenance and repair of aircraft. It calls for a skilled engine/drivetrain mechanic who can carry out intermediate maintenance periodicity requirements, and works in specialized shops associated with fixed-base operations in Saudi Arabia.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair major assemblies, subassemblies and line replaceable units of the MH-60R power plant, including fuel cell maintenance, tail rotor breakdown and rigging, and tail drive shaft removal and shimming.
• Use IMDS/HUMS vibration diagnostic data and the HUMS ground station to bring vibration diagnostics to minimum standards.
• Remove, disassemble, repair, rig, rework, reassemble, install, modify, adjust, test and preserve power plant, transmission, tail drive shaft, rotor, fuel and flight control systems according to directives, technical manuals and safety procedures.
• Perform inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection and isolation, and AVUM/AVIM corrective actions; perform depot-level maintenance and repair when authorized.
• Operate and maintain ground support equipment, use and maintain tools, and complete forms, records and reports (including NAMP).
• Provide on-the-job training to Saudi technicians and maintain personnel readiness records (Readiness Insight, ASMi or substitute).
• Assist in shop, hangar and flight-line safety, accept accountability for shop property, and keep the work area clean.

Required profile

• 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work, with verifiable experience maintaining H-60 aircraft.
• Valid A&P license, QAR, CDQAR or TI qualification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to obtain and maintain a NAC(T3) background investigation and drug test, and facility credentials; a secret clearance may be required.
