Program Manager

About the role

The Program Manager plans, directs, controls and monitors the Strategic Business Unit (SBU) and its support program so that program objectives are met. The role oversees programs that provide multi-disciplinary engineering analysis and support in the design, development, implementation, operation and maintenance of diverse systems, and assists in directing staff and customs support personnel for one or more contracts. The position is based overseas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the program to meet contractual obligations for cost, quality and schedule while protecting company profit motives
• Act as the point of contact between government personnel and the management team for the assigned contract
• Coordinate and approve local operating and personnel actions within corporate guidelines
• Handle contract administrative functions including safety, security and labor reporting
• Ensure adherence to performance standards and site discipline
• Manage monetary resources to keep the contract within budget and meet budget objectives
• Plan and procure staffing to reach work milestones and deliverables
• Maintain a liaison with customer representatives and guide human resource use, performance, morale and welfare

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in an associated discipline; two years of business experience may substitute for four years of college
• Master's degree or coursework in specialized management preferred
• 10 years in a related technical environment, 5 in a managerial role
• Ability to pass and maintain a security clearance and hold a valid driver's license; Safe-for-Flight (SFF) certification required
• H-60 maintenance platform experience preferred

• Knowledge of Department of Defense and U.S. government structures and procedures
• Computer skills such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint desirable
