Project Accounting Senior Specialist

About the role

The Project Accounting Senior Specialist will ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting for projects, supporting project managers and safeguarding compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain project financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review project budgets, forecasts, commitments, and actual expenditures to identify variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and analyze project financial reports, including profitability, cost performance, cash flow, and earned value metrics.
• Support project managers in financial planning, budget development, and cost control activities.
• Manage project revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards and contractual requirements.
• Review project‑related invoices, purchase orders, payment requests, and subcontractor claims for financial accuracy.
• Ensure proper allocation of project costs, labor charges, overheads, and indirect expenses.
• Coordinate project billing activities and monitor accounts receivable collections related to projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent are preferred.
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance, including at least 3 years in project accounting.
• Experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, facilities management, or other project‑based organizations is preferred.
