Project Construction Director

About the role

KBR is recruiting a Project Construction Director for a major mixed-use development in Riyadh, described as a landmark community with several iconic assets. The project is supported by PMO services covering enterprise-level governance, assurance, integration and performance oversight. Reporting to the Programme Director, the director oversees projects from pre-contract award through to completion, manages a masterplan for executive commercial, planning and risk reporting, and works within a matrix PMO organisation alongside commercial, planning and risk functions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversight and coordination with project management consultants (PMCs) to set up and govern standard reporting on quality, commercial, planning, quality and safety.
• Validate progress against pre- and post-contract stage gates and earned progress against baseline schedules.
• Coordinate PMCs on project cost reports, annual programme budgets and monthly cash flow reports.
• Take part in value engineering proposals and identify scope risks and other risks affecting stakeholders, third parties and HSE and quality compliance.
• Support portfolio-wide risk management, forecast milestone completions, and manage approvals registers, take-over certificates, defects and operational readiness.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer to the client and PMCs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in construction management engineering or architecture.
• PMI-PMP, Professional Engineer, or Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, or equivalent.
• At least 15 years of experience managing major civil, infrastructure and development programmes.
• At least 3 years as a Project Director or Construction Director.
• Strong commitment to health, safety, environment and quality; excellent English communication skills.
