Project Engineer I

About the role

Hexagon Autonomous Solutions is looking for a Project Engineer I to lead the planning, coordination and execution of technical mining projects. The role bridges engineering expertise with project management, ensuring deployments are on time, within budget and meet quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource schedules and risk registers.
• Coordinate with Project Managers to deliver complex mining solutions on schedule and budget.
• Act as the primary escalation point for technical issues raised by project teams.
• Support, maintain and customise software, including system configurations and scripting‑based customisations.
• Participate in onsite installations, troubleshoot system issues and resolve integrated‑system problems.
• Communicate risks and issues to stakeholders and produce regular status reports.
• Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge of current and upcoming product offerings.
• Collaborate with sales in pre‑sales activities and represent Hexagon professionally on customer sites.

• Broad high‑level knowledge of mining systems and their deployment.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple technical escalations.
• Commitment to health, safety and regulatory compliance.
