Project Lead – Industrial Automation & Digital Transformation

About the role

The Project Lead will drive end‑to‑end delivery of industrial automation and digital transformation projects for GulfNet Solutions. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure projects are executed on schedule, within budget, and meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle: planning, detailed engineering, procurement support, implementation, commissioning, testing, training and close‑out.
• Manage multiple automation and digitalisation projects simultaneously, tracking schedule, budget, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, subcontractors, OEMs and suppliers throughout execution.
• Translate customer operational requirements into technical deliverables and ensure alignment across all parties.
• Review and approve engineering documents such as system architecture, control philosophy, P&IDs, network architecture, I/O lists, FAT/SAT procedures and technical manuals.
• Provide technical leadership for PLC, SCADA, DCS, RTU, instrumentation, industrial networks, IIoT, MES and related technologies.
• Plan and supervise site surveys, installation activities, FAT, SAT, commissioning and customer training.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans and manage technical/commercial issues proactively.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years (48 months) of experience in industrial automation or digital transformation projects.
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Knowledge of industry standards, quality, safety and OT cybersecurity requirements.
