Project Planner - Fitout & Construction

About the role

The Project Planner estimates project timescales and ensures deadlines are met, working closely with site managers and other engineers so that projects run on schedule and material supplies are sufficient. The role covers project management planning, cost management and time management, and acts as a link between the client, external parties and the setting-out team.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in pre-contract and post-contract planning, send out RFQs, assemble supplier quotes and prepare order details
• Coordinate with procurement on orders, delivery dates, escalations and issue resolution
• Interface with external parties and clients to close out procurement, and act as the link between the client and the setting-out team
• Review new jobs, highlight RFIs, scope of work and discrepancies
• Oversee items in production, resolve communication issues and coordinate between production and setting-out teams
• Manage project correspondence with external parties and collate and interpret technical information on materials
• Attend team meetings, write follow-up notes and reports, and propose procedural improvements
• Maintain effective communication with subcontractors and suppliers and document the process with the job site team

Required profile

• 7-10 years of experience in a fitout company, in 5-star hotels, public areas and rooms; commercial projects are an advantage
• Experience on high-rise building projects
• Based preferably in Jeddah, but willing to relocate to other cities in KSA
• Available to join as soon as possible

Required skills

• Experience preparing baseline schedules, updating them, using EVM, weekly and monthly reports, and dashboards
• Knowledge of proper project sequencing and multiple concurrent projects
• Primavera P6 and MS Project are an advantage
