PS Execution Incharge / Head - Mechanical - Shutdown / Turnaround

About the role

ABIS, a company in the oil and gas sector, is looking for a PS Execution Incharge / Head - Mechanical - Shutdown / Turnaround to lead its mechanical shutdown and turnaround projects. The role covers planning, executing and overseeing all mechanical activities during shutdowns so that safety, efficiency and quality are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and lead all mechanical shutdown and turnaround activities from initiation to completion.
• Lead and coordinate the execution team to deliver the project on time and safely.
• Develop detailed execution plans and schedules aligned with project objectives.
• Monitor project progress, performance and resource allocation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the shutdown.
• Coordinate with other departments, contractors and stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with mechanical shutdown operations.
• Carry out post-shutdown reviews and implement lessons learned.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience managing mechanical shutdowns and turnarounds in the oil and gas industry.
• 3+ years of managerial or team leader experience.
• Strong leadership skills to manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance practices and safety protocols.
• Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
• Planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with stakeholders.
