QA/QC Engineer (MEP)

About the role

AtkinsRéalis is hiring a full-time QA/QC Engineer (MEP) in Al Khobar to oversee quality management systems, contract compliance, inspections and testing across high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality and building infrastructure projects. The role coordinates with contractors, consultants, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret construction contracts, specifications, RFPs and tender documents for building and high-rise projects
• Prepare quality reports, inspection reports, audit findings, NCRs, CARs and technical correspondence
• Monitor civil, structural, architectural and MEP activities against specifications, shop drawings, codes and standards
• Review contractor QMS, ITPs, method statements and quality control procedures; conduct surveillance inspections and audits
• Review material submittals, samples, mock-ups and supplier qualifications; check incoming materials and works against approved standards
• Inspect structural concrete, reinforcement, steel, waterproofing, façade, finishes, MEP installations and fit-outs
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants, testing laboratories and suppliers
• Lead internal and external quality audits and monitor corrective and preventive actions
• Take part in pre-handover, snagging and final acceptance inspections and project meetings
• Mentor QA/QC engineers, inspectors and site teams and maintain quality records

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 10-15 years of QA/QC experience on major building projects, including at least 5 years on high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality or tower developments
• Experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 and conducting quality audits
• Knowledge of ASTM, ACI, BS, IEC, NFPA and local authority requirements
