Risk Analyst - Engineering Projects

About the role

kbr is hiring a Risk Analyst in Al Khobar to support the implementation and maintenance of project and enterprise risk management (ERM) processes across engineering and project delivery assignments. The analyst maintains risk registers, facilitates risk identification and assessment, monitors mitigation actions and provides accurate risk reporting to support informed decisions and successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update project risk and opportunity registers so that information stays accurate, current and auditable.
• Facilitate risk identification workshops and risk review meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
• Develop structured risk statements and support qualitative risk assessments using approved methodologies.
• Monitor risk mitigation actions and follow up with risk owners to ensure timely closure.
• Track emerging risks and opportunities and escalate significant issues where required.
• Evaluate schedule, cost, technical, commercial, procurement and execution risks.
• Prepare risk reports, dashboards, heat maps and management presentations.
• Coordinate risk data collection and keep risk management systems consistent.
• Support Project Managers, Project Controls, Engineering Leads and Commercial teams, assist with contingency planning and support lessons learned reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in project support, project controls, planning, document control, junior engineering or risk management roles.
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, infrastructure or industrial projects preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering project lifecycles, especially Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Design phases.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of risk management principles and familiarity with Project Risk Management Plans (RMPs).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written English and strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
