QA/QC Specialist

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Specialist to support a large‑scale heavy infrastructure and civil works project in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on ensuring rigorous implementation of Quality Management Systems across all site activities, from material compliance to contractor inspections.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute daily site inspections and quality surveillance to verify contractor adherence to approved procedures, designs and specifications.
• Review contractor submittals such as Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), material certifications and Inspection Requests before construction execution.
• Identify, document and log non‑conformances, issue NCRs, track root‑cause analyses and verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor on‑site and third‑party laboratory testing (concrete, asphalt, soil compaction) and ensure material traceability, handling and storage meet project standards.
• Support internal and external quality audits and prepare regular quality status metrics and KPI dashboards.
• Exercise stop‑work authority when serious breaches of quality, health, safety or environmental requirements are identified.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive QA/QC experience on large‑scale heavy infrastructure, civil engineering or mega‑construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of ITPs, material compliance verification and international quality standards (ASTM, ACI, ASME, ISO 9001).
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with proven technical writing ability.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
