QC Coordinator - NDE

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring a full-time QC Coordinator for NDE in Jubail. The role covers quality assurance planning, monitoring of NDE procedures and weld inspection, and quality control of subcontractors' work.

Key responsibilities

• Review technical specifications, prepare Quality Assurance Plans and QC plans, and establish inspection and test plans and record forms according to project requirements and international codes.
• Monitor NDE procedures and UT, RT, MT, PT, VT, PMI, PAUT/ToFD, HT, pre-heat and PWHT methods, and review PWHT charts.
• Carry out inspections, generate Requests for Inspection (RFI) and manage punch lists, NCRs and corrective actions.
• Review and approve subcontractor documents such as ITP and MAR, and coordinate inspections with the client.
• Inspect incoming materials, reject unacceptable ones and ensure lessons learned and preventive actions are applied.
• Ensure NDE and PWHT personnel are skilled and qualified, and control quality violations through toolbox talks.
• Act as QC Supervisor in their absence and control quality of pre-commissioning, plant start-up and handover activities.

Required profile

• Experience in Aramco projects is needed.
• Documented NDT and welding inspection experience, and hands-on experience as a QC/Welding/NDE inspector.
• Ability to plan and control inspections for medium-scale projects (0.5 to 1.5 billion dollars).
• CBT pass preferred; mention SAP No. and CBT pass in the CV.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO standards, ASME IX, API 6A and other quality and productivity tools.
• Interpretation of NDT results, including radiographic films, and hands-on UT, MT, PT.
• Microsoft Office computer literacy.
• Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS Level III, ASNT Level II, and Quality Auditor ISO 9001:2008 are listed as desirable.
