QC HVAC Inspector – Quality Control for HVAC Systems

About the role

The QC HVAC Inspector will oversee inspection and quality control of HVAC installations across oil & gas, refinery, petrochemical and other industrial projects. The role ensures that all HVAC components are installed correctly, perform as designed, and meet international standards and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect HVAC installations including ducting, piping, chillers, AHUs, FCUs and ventilation systems.
• Verify installation methods, materials, insulation and supports against approved drawings and ITPs.
• Monitor testing and balancing activities and ensure compliance with mechanical and fire safety standards.
• Review shop drawings and specifications, identify non‑conformities and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain QA/QC documentation.
• Coordinate with contractors, QA/QC teams and client representatives.

Required profile

• B.S. Degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of relevant inspection experience, OR an Industrial/Technical Diploma with 8–10 years of experience.
• Working knowledge of standards such as SMACNA, Uniform Mechanical Code, NFPA 90A and ASHRAE Handbooks.
• Familiarity with electrical installations and hazardous‑location identification in industrial environments.
• Understanding of quality system standards and inspection methods.
• Valid driving licence (mandatory).
