QC Inspector - Civil and Building

About the role

Samsung E&A, a specialized EPC company covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and O&M across oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, energy transition and industrial sectors, is hiring a full-time QC Inspector for civil and building works in Jubail. The inspector plans and controls quality activities within his discipline according to the QC Manager's quality management system, and manages inspections, tests and the inspectors assigned to him.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Quality Procedures and Inspection Test Plans (ITP).
• Plan, control and perform inspections and tests, and manage inspectors in the discipline for which he is responsible.
• Manage work performance and the Quality Performance Indicator, and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients on quality issues, NCRs and observations.
• Manage work through the FMCS and SCMS systems.

Required profile

• University degree with 7 years of inspection experience, or high school diploma with 10 years; at least 3 years supervising construction in oil, gas, petrochemical, infrastructure or communication projects.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes such as the IBC or equivalents, and of construction techniques including soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel, masonry, finishes, roofs and asphalt.
• Aramco experience is required.
• Ability to set up and run a quality system for small projects (below $0.5 billion).

• ITP study, pre-inspection, RFI and punch list management.
• Quality management, QA/QC planning, audit and execution, and quality training.
• Familiarity with FMCS and SCMS systems.
• Client and sub-contractor management, documentation control and reports preparation.
