QC Supervisor – Purchase Order Inspection

About the role

The QC Supervisor – POSE is responsible for overseeing quality control activities on purchased goods, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and up‑to‑date, and coordinating internal and external inspection resources to meet project goals efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Execute quality control activities on purchased goods in line with purchase order requirements and project contracts.
• Maintain and update company information tools and systems (e.g., SAP) with inspection reports and release notes.
• Coordinate internal inspectors and external inspection agencies to deliver cost‑effective, results‑oriented solutions.
• Review project QC requirements and contractual documents to identify discrepancies.
• Support the Materials Management (MM) team in issuing QC procedures, PO inspection classification, and final test certificates.
• Prepare and distribute Inspection Assignment Packages to designated inspectors before inspections commence.
• Organise Pre‑Inspection Meetings (PIM), ensuring participation of all relevant vendors, Saipem units, clients, and third parties.
• Manage inspection notifications, ensure proper documentation, and handle non‑conformity reports and punch lists.
• Evaluate external agency inspectors using the I‑PERF tool.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality control of purchased goods within construction or engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of contractual documentation, inspection procedures, and project QC requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, including vendors, internal teams, and external agencies.
• Familiarity with SAP for documentation and release note management.
• Experience handling non‑conformities, punch lists, and final test certifications.
