Quality Inspector - Gas Turbine Components

About the role

The Quality Inspector supports quality control on gas turbine components, covering in-process and final inspections, final reports, and packing inspection. The role ensures product quality requirements are met during manufacturing and final preparation, following approved work instructions, specifications, engineering requirements and quality standards. It also calls for strong Lean behaviours, active problem solving, 5S maintenance, root cause analysis and raising quality concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality inspection according to approved work instructions, quality plans and process requirements.
• Review and verify final reports for completeness, accuracy and compliance.
• Raise quality concerns promptly and escalate issues affecting product quality, process compliance or customer requirements.
• Initiate and support Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and contribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Read and interpret work instructions, quality forms, technical documentation, specifications and engineering drawings; record inspection results and findings accurately.
• Use inspection tools, gauges and measuring equipment safely and effectively.
• Identify nonconforming conditions and support containment, documentation, escalation and follow-up.
• Follow Standard Work and Standard Work Combination Sheets, and maintain a clean, safe, organised work area under 5S.
• Apply Lean principles, take part in problem solving and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Work within takt time, cycle time and standard process flow, and use shop floor systems such as ELM, SmartShop and MyAndon as required.

Required profile

• Diploma, technical college degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Knowledge or experience in welding quality inspection.
• Desired: minimum 2 years' experience with gas turbine components or other precision aerospace/industrial parts; NDT license is a plus.
