Receiving Clerk

About the role

FAENA The Red Sea is seeking a highly organised and detail‑oriented Receiving Clerk to join its Finance and Procurement team. The role is responsible for receiving, inspecting and recording all incoming goods, materials and supplies to ensure they meet the hotel’s quality and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and inspect all incoming deliveries from vendors and suppliers.
• Verify deliveries against purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes for quantity, quality and specifications.
• Record received items accurately in the inventory, procurement or finance systems.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, Finance and suppliers to resolve discrepancies, shortages or quality concerns.
• Maintain accurate receiving logs and documentation for audit and inventory control.
• Label, tag and organise goods before distribution or storage, ensuring proper stock rotation.
• Monitor pending, back‑ordered or partial deliveries and follow up with relevant parties.
• Support inventory activities such as stock counts, cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper handling of perishable, fragile or temperature‑sensitive items.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and safety in receiving and loading areas.

• Ability to work collaboratively with Purchasing, Finance and operational teams.
• Commitment to adhering to company policies, food‑safety standards and audit requirements.
