Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

About the role

The Registered Nurse – PACU provides high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, development and implementation of individualized care plans, and close collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document changes in condition.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in coordination with healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications, wound care, and assist during medical procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records, adhere to infection‑control standards, and respond to emergencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of clinical nursing experience (or participation in RN residency program).
• Valid nursing license from the country of origin and registration with the regional health authority (e.g., SCFHS, DHA).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong typing ability.
• Clerical skills such as preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and scanning documents.
