Remote Go/Golang Developer (Contractor)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced software engineer to work remotely on a part‑time contract (10‑12 hours per week). The role focuses on evaluating and improving real‑world codebases for next‑generation AI systems, without requiring prior AI expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Perform backend, full‑stack, infrastructure, and systems engineering tasks on diverse projects.
• Review, debug, refactor, and clearly explain code across multiple environments.
• Design or assess solutions involving APIs, databases, services, integrations, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Identify trade‑offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Document technical reasoning in writing, outlining alternatives and justification.
• Collaborate with the client’s team on technical reviews, implementation decisions, and problem‑solving exercises.
• Quickly adapt to new codebases, frameworks, and technical requirements.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in at least one backend or full‑stack language (e.g., Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C#, C++, Ruby, PHP).
• Proven ability to build, maintain, or review production‑grade applications, APIs, services, and integrations.
• Excellent written communication skills for explaining complex engineering decisions.
