Road Design Engineer – Arabic Speaker

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Road Design Engineer who is fluent in Arabic to join its transportation and infrastructure team in Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for delivering road and highway designs that meet local authority standards while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review geometric road designs, including alignments, profiles, cross‑sections, and corridor models.
• Develop road layouts from concept through detailed and IFC/IFT stages.
• Produce design drawings, technical reports, and calculations in line with project requirements.
• Design intersections and junctions, perform grading, swept‑path and vehicle turning analyses.
• Coordinate with utilities, drainage, traffic, structural and architectural disciplines.
• Review BIM and 3D models, resolve clashes, and support quantity take‑offs and BOQ preparation.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Highway Code, Ministry of Transport, MOMRAH, Amanah and other relevant standards.
• Participate in design review, QA/QC processes and mentor junior engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in road/highway design, preferably on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi design standards and authority requirements.
• Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
