Rolling Stock Lead

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking an experienced Lead Rolling Stock professional to head the delivery of technical services for installation, testing and commissioning of rolling stock and depot equipment systems. Reporting to the Systems Manager, the role ensures projects meet budget, performance and safety requirements while providing fit‑for‑purpose vehicles and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all rail systems, infrastructure and rolling stock testing & commissioning activities, including sub‑contractor monitoring.
• Review and comment on testing & commissioning programs, procedures and reports, ensuring alignment with operation and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate system integration across disciplines such as Platform Screen Doors, Signaling, SCADA and Power Supply.
• Monitor preventive and corrective maintenance processes for rolling stock and related features.
• Identify and implement corrective actions and process improvements in line with cost‑reduction and lean principles.

Required profile

• University degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Business Engineering (minimum Bachelor of Science).
• At least 15 years of experience in metro system testing and commissioning, with solid knowledge of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and commitment to safety and quality.
• Fluent written and spoken English; Arabic knowledge is a plus.
