Room Service Waiter/Waitress – Hotel Guest Service

About the role

The Room Service Waiter/Waitress provides courteous, professional, and efficient food and beverage service to hotel guests in their rooms and suites. Working under the Assistant Room Service Manager, the role supports the hotel's standards and Kempinski’s brand values to maximise guest satisfaction and drive sales.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in assigned outlets, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to opening and closing procedures.
• Monitor inventory, control waste, and report supply needs.
• Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly, escalating to supervisors when required.
• Operate the POS system for order entry and payment processing.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies on hygiene, health & safety, and fire regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff, order takers, and fellow service team members to ensure smooth service flow.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and any additional duties assigned by department heads.

Required profile

• Punctual attendance and adherence to the hotel’s dress code and grooming standards.
• Professional appearance, personal hygiene, and a positive attitude.
• Good knowledge of the hotel’s food and beverage offerings and the ability to upsell.
• Effective communication skills in English and the local language.
• Team‑player who can maintain good relations with colleagues across departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating a POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
