RTR Quality Control (QC) Inspector

About the role

Eram Talent is looking for an experienced RTR Quality Control (QC) Inspector for a major infrastructure project. The inspector will oversee inspection and testing of Reinforced Thermosetting Resin (RTR), Glassfiber Reinforced Epoxy (GRE) and Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) piping systems, ensuring construction and installation comply with project specifications, international codes and client engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming RTR/GRE/GRP pipes, fittings, adhesives and raw materials against material certificates, purchase orders and project requirements.
• Monitor joint fit-ups, adhesive bonding, lamination layups, wrapping and curing cycles, including heating blanket applications.
• Witness and document hydrostatic pressure testing, leak testing and visual inspections of completed non-metallic piping networks.
• Verify shaver machine settings, taper angles and joint preparation, and monitor and qualify the workmanship of RTR bonders and laminators.
• Prepare, review and maintain Quality Control Procedure (QCP) documents, Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and daily Quality Inspection Reports (QIR).
• Identify non-conformances, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Required profile

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of QC inspection experience strictly dedicated to RTR/GRE/GRP piping in the oil and gas, petrochemical or large-scale utility sectors.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Materials Engineering.
• Valid qualification from a major RTR manufacturer (e.g. Future Pipe Industries, Amiantit, or equivalent).
• Must have passed or be ready to take the client Computer-Based Test (CBT) for RTR/Non-Metallic piping inspection.

Required skills

• Strong familiarity with ASME B31.3, ASTM and client-specific standards such as Saudi Aramco SAES-L-105 and SAES-S-070.
• Knowledge of RTR/GRE/GRP piping inspection and quality control documentation.
