Satellite Planning & Integrated Design Section Manager

About the role

The Satellite Planning & Integrated Design Section Manager is responsible for shaping and optimizing the satellite services infrastructure across GEO, MEO and LEO constellations. This role ensures that capacity, resilience and performance align with the business’s growth and transformation objectives while adhering to regulatory and engineering governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the annual CAPEX plan for satellite services infrastructure and evaluate investment opportunities.
• Analyse infrastructure plans to guarantee alignment with transport and optical network requirements.
• Coordinate forecasts and project plans with cross‑functional teams such as WBU, CBU, EBU, Royal, STS and Infra.
• Review network capacity, utilization and performance reports to maintain service readiness.
• Lead rollout road‑maps for next‑generation satellite technologies and oversee design of GEO/MEO/LEO access and transport networks.
• Develop and maintain a long‑term satellite infrastructure strategy, including modernization, spectrum utilization and technology evolution.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, implement optimisation measures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Integrate multi‑orbit satellite systems with terrestrial infrastructure and support partnership initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in satellite services planning, network integration or related telecommunications fields.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale CAPEX projects and coordinate multi‑disciplinary stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and spectrum management processes for satellite operations.
• Demonstrated experience in developing strategic infrastructure roadmaps.
