Satellite SPO Assistant Manager

About the role

The Satellite SPO Assistant Manager will oversee the performance of GEO, MEO and LEO satellite networks for stc, ensuring high service quality, capacity, efficiency and a superior customer experience. The role involves defining performance standards, analysing trends, driving optimisation initiatives and coordinating corrective actions across the satellite ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and standardise satellite‑enabled network performance management processes, including KPI/KQI/SLA definitions, measurement methodologies and thresholds.
• Analyse network and service performance trends across GEO, MEO and LEO constellations to detect degradations and recommend optimisation actions.
• Prepare and maintain periodic performance dashboards and reports covering health, availability, utilisation, latency, service quality and customer experience metrics.
• Conduct regular performance audits, KPI/KQI validations and service quality assessments to proactively identify gaps.
• Support root‑cause‑analysis (RCA) activities for performance degradations, ensuring proper escalation and restoration.
• Provide architectural recommendations and blueprint inputs for medium‑ and long‑term network enhancements.
• Optimise routing, beam management, capacity distribution and load‑balancing across satellite constellations.
• Enhance inter‑satellite link (ISL) optimisation to improve mesh efficiency and reduce propagation delays.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in satellite network performance management or a related telecom field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
• Proficiency in interpreting KPI/KQI metrics and preparing executive‑level reports.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with vendors, MSPs and internal stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Saudi telecom regulations and compliance requirements is a plus.
