Senior Accountant – Finance Operations

About the role

The Finance team is looking for a Senior Accountant to support daily finance operations and statutory reporting for entities in Saudi Arabia. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and cross‑functional teams to ensure accurate financial processing, compliance and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with daily finance operations and statutory reporting for KSA entities.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring efficient review of financial data and controls.
• Handle bookkeeping activities including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate stock transaction or invoicing discrepancies.
• Coordinate invoice and payment matters with agents and stakeholders.
• Support corporate tax return preparation and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Attend stock counts, support payroll processing and manage cash‑flow activities and collections.
• Prepare VAT and WHT filings for Finance Manager review.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and related analysis.
• Prepare local payment documentation and perform ad‑hoc finance analyses.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of hands‑on accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university.
• CPA or CMA qualification preferred.
• Experience in the Oil & Gas or oilfield services industry is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory reporting, VAT, WHT, payroll and financial controls.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
