Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee accurate financial management for the company's event projects and daily accounting operations. The role ensures proper project accounting, budget control, financial reporting and compliance with Saudi accounting standards. You will work closely with Event, Production, Procurement and Project Management teams to provide reliable financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments, reconciliations and month‑end closing.
• Track project revenues, expenses, commitments, purchase orders and supplier invoices.
• Prepare project profitability and cost reports, highlighting budget variances and financial risks.
• Review supplier and freelancer invoices, ensuring proper approvals and documentation before payment.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, following up on outstanding balances.
• Monitor project cash flow and support cash‑flow forecasting for the Finance Manager.
• Perform bank, supplier, customer and inter‑company reconciliations.
• Support external and internal audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations and required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company financial policies, approval authorities and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, cost controls and financial reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in events, exhibitions, entertainment, hospitality, advertising or other project‑based industries.
• Strong experience in project accounting, budgeting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of Saudi VAT and ZATCA requirements.
• Professional certifications such as SOCPA, ACCA, CMA or CPA are an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP or other accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Saudi VAT and ZATCA compliance.
• Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Fluent English (Arabic is a plus).
