Senior Accountant – Jeddah

About the role

Chalhoub Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Jeddah. The role focuses on the reconciliation of employee and business unit accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, procedures and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Follow all relevant accounting policies, processes and standard operating procedures to maintain controlled and consistent work.
• Execute day‑to‑day accounting activities with minimal supervision, ensuring continuity of work.
• Provide follow‑up on escalated cases or questions from junior team members, closing them efficiently and timely.
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and manage the year‑end closing process for assigned records.
• Offer technical accounting support and interpretation to business units.
• Prevent payment delays by monitoring and processing payments promptly.
• Reconcile all accounts and financial records of business units, including regular bank reconciliations.
• Review monthly bank reconciliations, sign off, and verify they are completed on time to avoid fraud or inaccuracies.
• Identify and resolve long‑outstanding items in reconciliations.
