Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accounts Receivable (AR) Accountant is responsible for managing the full cycle of AR activities, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and proper transaction recording. This role supports cash‑flow health and financial accuracy while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day AR operations, including invoicing, collections, and customer account maintenance.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing for AR, preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Generate and analyze AR aging reports, identify risks, and recommend collection strategies.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, company policies, and internal controls.
• Monitor incoming payments, contribute to cash‑flow forecasting, and support treasury functions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Operations and other teams to resolve billing issues and improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting roles.
• SOCPA certification (mandatory).
• Strong knowledge of AR processes, revenue recognition and internal controls.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as ZOHO Books or similar.
• Understanding of IFRS standards.
• Experience in cash‑flow monitoring and forecasting.
