Senior Architect

About the role

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Architect to lead high‑profile projects in Riyadh. You will be responsible for guiding architectural design from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with standards and delivering innovative solutions for large‑scale residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design from concept development to construction completion.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners and landscape architects.
• Develop and review drawings, plans and specifications for accuracy and constructability.
• Conduct site assessments, surveys and investigations to inform design decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior architects.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors and regulatory agencies to obtain approvals and resolve technical issues.
• Perform regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality and adherence to design specifications.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs and proposed design changes.
• Prepare design presentations, reports and documentation for stakeholder meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of architectural design experience within the consultancy sector.
• Strong background in site supervision for large building projects.
• Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations and construction standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Professional licensure or registration as an Architect is advantageous.
• Experience on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.
