Senior Associate, Logistics & Freight Management

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to support transportation, customs compliance, and distribution activities for its Saudi Distribution Center. The role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, managing customs clearance, and ensuring efficient product delivery across Saudi Arabia and the broader GEM region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities and monitor shipment execution.
• Manage customs clearance documentation and act as the primary contact with customs authorities using FASAH/ZATCA.
• Collaborate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and warehouse teams to maintain operational continuity.
• Support NUPCO shipment processes, including ASN bookings and goods receipt management.
• Track deliveries, resolve logistics issues, and handle customer‑specific distribution requirements.
• Review freight invoices, validate costs, and follow up on discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with GxP regulations, SOPs, and quality standards.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, customs clearance, or supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of Saudi customs procedures and import/export documentation.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with FASAH/ZATCA customs systems.
