Senior Backend Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join Norconsult Telematics in Saudi Arabia on a six‑month contract. You will be responsible for delivering backend and API enhancements, maintaining service availability, and improving performance across both .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services using .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET Core.
• Optimize SQL Server databases, including queries, stored procedures, indexing and performance tuning.
• Implement API authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Debug, troubleshoot and support production backend applications, participating in incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and maintain technical documentation.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide out‑of‑hours support for production issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4–5 years of professional backend development experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core.
• Proven ability to own technical problems through to production‑ready resolution.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments and participating in code reviews.
• Willingness to join an out‑of‑hours support rotation.
