Senior Commercial Manager (FIDIC)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to support the FIDIC Engineer in administering commercial and contractual matters for infrastructure contracts under FIDIC Design and Build contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Support the FIDIC Engineer in contract and commercial administration, interpreting contractual requirements for measurement, valuation, payment, variations, extensions of time, claims and correspondence.
• Review contractor submissions, verify measurements, quantities and payment applications, and prepare commercial records, registers and trackers.
• Administer change control, evaluate contractor change notices, prepare cost estimates and maintain variation registers.
• Assist in reviewing contractor claims, prepare position papers and support dispute resolution.
• Prepare regular commercial reports on contract value, forecasts, payments, claims and risks, and contribute to cost plans and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with FIDIC requirements, client procedures and internal controls, maintaining auditable records and supporting audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in quantity surveying and commercial management on major construction or infrastructure projects, with demonstrable experience under FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
• Experience working in the Middle East, preferably Saudi Arabia, with knowledge of local construction practices and regulations.
• Professional membership preferred and strong written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
