Senior Consultant - Contract Services

About the role

Turner & Townsend's Contract Services Team delivers Contract Development, Contract Management, Dispute Resolution and Claims Management services across the region. This Senior Consultant role suits someone with strong experience in a consultancy or contractor organisation who can support the team's Subject Matter Experts and help grow the Contract Services division.

Key responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class claims and dispute management advice for clients
• Support Subject Matter Experts in the region and contribute to the growth of the Contract Services division
• Apply methodical analytical skills and adapt to challenging scenarios
• Prepare and support major bid proposals
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of the role

Required profile

• Quantity surveying, commercial management, engineering and/or legal background
• Demonstrable track record of contract and claims services in the property sector
• Experience in a variety of construction sectors and project types
• Client-facing confidence and good presentation skills
• Experience of performance forensics, from a quantum or delay background
• Advantageous: experience on live contracts and projects in distress

Required skills

• Standard forms of contract, claims management, dispute avoidance and resolution
• FIDIC and other standard form contracts, including arbitration and litigation processes
• Compiling claim reports
• Commercial management on major projects
• Quantity surveying, civil engineering or construction management degree; MSc Construction Law or similar desirable
• Chartered status (MCIArb, MCIOB, MRICS or FRICS) preferred
