Senior e-Powertrain Process Engineer

About the role
We are supporting a global automotive programme that launches a state‑of‑the‑art electric drive unit production facility in Saudi Arabia. As a Senior e‑Powertrain Process Engineer you will help establish new manufacturing operations from the ground up, covering installation, commissioning, qualification and ramp‑up of advanced e‑powertrain lines.
Key responsibilities
- Own and develop manufacturing processes within the designated production area.
- Lead equipment commissioning, qualification activities and ensure production readiness.
- Drive APQP, PPAP and process validation activities.
- Optimise cycle times, line balancing and overall manufacturing efficiency.
- Lead root‑cause investigations and structured problem‑solving.
- Improve quality, yield, downtime performance and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Implement process controls, SPC and traceability systems.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers, quality teams and production stakeholders.
- Support continuous‑improvement initiatives throughout ramp‑up and full‑scale production.
- Train and mentor production technicians and operators.
Required profile
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 5 years experience in high‑volume manufacturing environments.
- Strong process engineering background in automotive, powertrain, electronics, electric motors or battery sectors.
- Hands‑on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, control plans and process validation.
- Deep knowledge of SPC, DOE, MSA and capability analysis.
- Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Fluent English communication.
- Highly desirable: experience in EV, e‑motor, inverter, power‑electronics or e‑axle manufacturing; greenfield plant launch; IATF 16949 exposure; Lean Six Sigma certification; automation or robotics experience.
