Senior Fastener Engineer – Automotive

About the role

Lucid is seeking a Senior Fastener Engineer to serve as the primary fastener engineering liaison at the AMP‑2 production facility in KSA. The role supports cross‑functional teams, ensuring fastener solutions meet design intent and uphold the company’s high standards for performance and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the main fastener engineering point of contact between the AMP‑2 plant and L1 headquarters.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, service, purchasing, suppliers and other partners to develop robust joint solutions.
• Identify, analyze root causes, and resolve fastener issues on the manufacturing floor.
• Assess assembly fastener joint condition regarding parts, tools, processes, and personnel.
• Track and monitor fastener selection, release, and validation activities.
• Provide local subject‑matter expertise on fastener selection, joint theory, product knowledge, and assembly processes.
• Support definition of processes and standards across design, manufacturing, SIE and SQE.
• Perform bolted joint analysis using Lucid’s available tools.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in a technical mechanical engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Experience working with fasteners in a professional capacity is a strong plus.
