Senior Financial Accountant

About the role

The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for accurate revenue recognition, recording and reporting in line with IFRS 15 and internal policies. You will own the revenue close cycle, collaborate with Sales, Operations and Commercial teams, and ensure robust controls over billing and receivables.

Key responsibilities

• Apply IFRS 15 to customer contracts, identifying performance obligations, allocating transaction price and determining timing of revenue recognition.
• Review new and amended contracts for revenue accounting implications such as variable consideration, discounts, rebates and multi‑element arrangements.
• Prepare and post monthly revenue journals, accruals, deferrals and unbilled revenue adjustments; maintain deferred revenue and contract balance roll‑forwards.
• Own month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end revenue and receivables close, including balance‑sheet reconciliations for all revenue‑related accounts.
• Perform variance analysis versus budget, forecast and prior periods and contribute to management reporting and statutory disclosures.
• Oversee billing accuracy, monitor AR ageing, expected credit loss provisions and operate internal controls over the order‑to‑cash cycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA or CA) completed or in progress.
• 4‑6 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in revenue accounting; Big 4 audit experience is a plus.
• Hands‑on experience applying IFRS 15 and IFRS 9 in a complex, multi‑product or multi‑entity environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Working knowledge of ERP/billing systems such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and IFRS 9.
