Senior Financial Analyst – Finance & Payroll Support

About the role

The Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial and payroll support to the High Risk Managed Services team, handling accounting, reporting, budgeting and expat payroll functions while ensuring compliance with IFRS and local employment regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities and prepare journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Analyse financial performance, report project profitability and provide commentary on variances against budget and forecast.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, investigate variances and ensure completeness of income for the HRMS department.
• Review monthly expat payroll, verify supporting documents and ensure calculations comply with DIFC Employment Law and Iraq personal tax.
• Assist budgeting and forecasting processes, advise on FX and tax matters, and support tax, commercial finance and operational teams.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial support to the HRMS department and Executive Committee, and assist with setup of new legal entities.
• Support internal and external audits, ensure statutory and group reporting compliance, and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes.

Required profile

• Experience in management accounting and analytical accounting roles.
• Proven experience preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel.
• Part‑qualified status in a recognised accounting qualification.
• Understanding of IFRS and company accounting policies.
