About the role

Join SAP as a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer and help build AI‑native enterprise applications that run at the heart of global commerce. You will work in fast‑moving, customer‑embedded delivery teams, turning AI concepts into production‑grade solutions that solve real business challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate cloud‑native applications that embed AI capabilities such as large language models, retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and agent‑based components.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional delivery teams and customers to understand business processes, technical landscapes, and requirements.
• Implement features and integrations while maintaining code quality and adhering to engineering standards.
• Support prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement of AI solutions in customer environments.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical documentation.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance deployed solutions to ensure reliability and operational stability.
• Stay current with AI/ML advancements and apply new techniques to improve solution quality.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in software engineering with proven proficiency in Python.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one cloud‑native development environment.
• Growing knowledge of AI/ML concepts, including familiarity with large language models and major ML frameworks.
• Exposure to data pipelines, MLOps practices, or AI model integration within applications.
• Collaborative mindset, ability to follow engineering standards, and a sense of ownership for assigned tasks.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset that embraces feedback and continuous learning.
