Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

Ready to be the person who decides how a product feels to use? We build dense B2B interfaces – trading screens, freight boards and support consoles – where every mistake has real cost. You will own the front‑end of one client product, shaping its architecture, component library and coding standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set the direction for rendering strategy, state management and data fetching, establishing conventions that keep the codebase readable over time.
• Build the hard parts such as virtualized tables, live charts and complex multi‑state forms, then leave reusable patterns for the team.
• Raise the floor with daily code reviews, strong typing, purposeful tests and minimal ceremony.
• Face the client directly in demos, explain trade‑offs to CTOs and adapt decisions based on feedback.
• Hand over the product with thorough documentation and walkthroughs so the client can continue without constant support.

Required profile

• At least five years of deep React experience, including shipping, breaking and fixing large applications.
• Proven Next.js architect with intentional rendering strategies, server components and caching.
• Design‑system builder who creates component libraries with tokens, variants and clear documentation.
• Strong opinions on data‑layer choices such as React Query, server‑component fetching or custom patterns.
• Heavy UI experience with virtualized tables, live charts, drag‑and‑drop or similar high‑performance components.
• Testing strategy expertise using Vitest, Testing Library and Playwright focused on money‑moving flows.
• Build‑pipeline literacy including bundle analysis, code‑splitting and vendor‑chunk management.
• TypeScript by instinct, using types to make invalid states unrepresentable.
• Confident CSS skills covering layout, stacking contexts and animation.
• Performance detective who profiles before changes and knows the user‑perceived latency.
• Accessibility habit from day one: keyboard, focus, labels and contrast.
• Client‑ready communicator able to discuss trade‑offs with senior technical leaders.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic is a genuine advantage.
• Comfortable using AI coding agents and deciding where the team should trust them.
