Senior GIS/CAD Specialist

About the role

Operates independently with minimal supervision on water infrastructure and hydrological projects, designing and programming water‑focused databases for distribution systems, stormwater management, water quality monitoring and hydrological analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and program custom databases tailored to utility or environmental requirements for each water‑resource project.
• Apply advanced GIS (ArcGIS or equivalent) and CAD (AutoCAD or similar) platforms to develop spatial analyses and infrastructure solutions.
• Direct Level I and II GIS specialists and provide overall project or task management for water‑resource initiatives.
• Execute and deliver GIS projects of moderate to significant scope, including water system mapping, watershed analysis and infrastructure planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in water resources engineering or water infrastructure development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Resources Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with water distribution systems, stormwater management, watershed analysis or hydrological modeling.
• Strong project‑management background and experience supervising junior GIS/CAD professionals.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS or equivalent).
• Advanced proficiency in CAD platforms (AutoCAD or similar).
• Water‑focused database design and programming.
• Spatial analysis, data visualization and technical documentation for water‑sector applications.
