Senior GIS/CAD Technician

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior GIS/CAD Technician to join its team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. The role will lead GIS activities and provide specialist geospatial support across a major infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GIS activities, develop and maintain project GIS databases and geodatabases.
• Collect, process, validate, analyze and visualize spatial data for infrastructure, utilities, roads, drainage and other assets.
• Integrate survey, CAD, BIM, GPS, satellite, drone and field data into GIS platforms, ensuring correct georeferencing.
• Establish and enforce GIS data standards, naming conventions, metadata and data structures.
• Perform spatial analysis to support engineering, construction, planning and asset management.
• Coordinate with Survey and BIM teams to align control points, benchmarks and model data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geomatics, Surveying, Geography, Civil Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 + years of experience in GIS, geospatial information management, infrastructure mapping or digital engineering, preferably on large‑scale airport or transportation projects.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of geodatabases, spatial analysis and GIS data quality assurance.
• Experience with CAD and engineering data integration, especially AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Familiarity with BIM integration, survey data, GPS and drone‑derived datasets.
• Ability to develop GIS visualizations, maps, dashboards and technical reports.
